Theodora du Bois | Seeing Red | Collins Crime Club | 1955 | Unclipped cover still looks impressive, but is worn, with several closed tears to the top edge & some loss to the edges. There is an old price written in biro on the ffep. | £20

Francis Durbridge | The Case of the Twisted Scarf | Dodd, Mead | 1961 | U.S. 1st edition in jacket. The front cover design of the jacket looks very impressive indeed, but the spine is rather worn with light blotchy marking, & the front flap is priceclipped. The binding underneath is bright, with a little wear at the edges. Overall, a handsome copy. | £75

Jacket still looks impressive, but has closed tears & some loss to edges, worst affected at top of spine, & has been intermittently reinforced with tape on the reverse. The book itself is slant, with the front cover set forward, & what I take to be a date has been written in ink at the top of the title page. | £50
