Rebecca West | The Modern Rake’s Progress | Hutchinson | 1934 | First printing in unclipped jacket. The front panel of the jacket still looks impressive, despite some scuffing, a 3cm closed tear at the top edge, & some sellotape reinforcement to the lower edge. There is some loss to the edges, most notably at the top of the spine, which has been reinforced with sellotape. There is a long diagonal tear down the back panel, which has been mended with tape, with more tape reinforcement at the top & edge.There is a 7cm tear, with some loss, down the top of the fold of the back panel/back flap. Edges of boards rubbed. Plates & text pages in very good condition, with some foxing. | £75
